As Sky Women we are committed to fighting 419 scams on all Social Media platforms in South-Africa & Global, helping to create a scam free society.

  • Create and develop a large scale of Global digital video engagement campaigns. It’s a priority to encourage victims, community groups, social media groups, cyber experts, cyber IT experts on Global level to take a stand against 419 scam fraud and to take part in our Global scam awareness campaigns on all social media platforms.
  • Prevention of scamming, by providing training & education (workshops) on 419 scams to the public, businesses and schools nationwide.
  • Create a Global online fundraising campaign on all social media platforms to raise funds.
  • The implementation of branded Sky Women shelters & food projects with provision of social workers and phycologists that is critical for scam victims in SA and globally to prevent suicide due to mental abuse and financial losses.
  • To provide intervention, job support and understanding to scam victims and create channels of support to help them revitalise their motivation and regain their former confidence.
  • Encouraging & enabling people to expose scams by asking them to report their experiences and knowledge of 419 scams on social media to us, also by telling their story to us.
  • Encouraging people to stand up against 419 scams and join us through social, fun events, information sessions & conferences on a global level to help those being profiled to not fall prey to social media scams.
  • Building a network of ‘scambassadors’ and volunteers in SA and Global creating an environment that does not tolerate scam perpetrators of fraud.
  • Making every effort to ensure that those who engage in scams on social media platforms will be punished, by referring our reports and data base to law enforcement authorities that consists of the FBI, Hawks and Interpol.
  • Sky Women’s own communication platforms and its relationships with the mainstream and community media amplify the voices of “scam victims” to ensure that they are heard by those in positions of authority.
  • We analyse our reports and other information to identify patterns and hot spots of 419 scam fraud. We prepare reports to expose scam fraud and share our findings and solutions and taking action on prevention measures with the public, the Government and the private sector.
  • Schools and other communities will host many of the Sky women activities as our business objectives have a large proactive element to their engagement.
  • The social media platforms will support most of the Sky Women activities and promote the proactive business objectives.
  • We initiate projects to “unite” scam victims in South-Africa and globally, provide resources and encourage scam victims to participate to join the fight against scams.
  • We are compiling a booklet on scams.
  • We are working with Universities on case studies on Nigerian 419 scams in order to find solutions.
  • The identified renewable matching grant or funding is based on the concept that local funding sources have a level of understanding of these victims’ needs. With matching contributions from local partners, the project will receive substantial funding.
